The Evolution of Traditional Carving

This piece represents a sophisticated evolution in Sri Lankan woodcraft. While the artists come from a lineage of traditional carvers, this sculpture embraces Modern Art principles—stripping away the intricate details to focus on form, balance, and the raw elegance of the wood itself. It is a “very unique” piece of hard work that requires a master’s eye for symmetry.

A Statement Piece for Modern Interiors

Designed to fit seamlessly into the Warm Minimalism and Contemporary Australian interior trends of 2026, this elephant serves as:

• A Grounding Element: The solid wood and smooth curves bring a sense of calm and nature indoors.

• Versatile Decor: Its clean lines allow it to stand alone as a center-piece or complement a curated shelf of high-end collectibles.

• Symbolic Strength: Retaining the traditional symbolism of the elephant—strength and wisdom—in a form that speaks to modern tastes.

5. Care Instructions

• Dusting: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to maintain the smooth, polished surface.

• Protection: To preserve the natural grain and prevent the wood from drying, keep away from direct heat sources and intense UV light.

• Occasional Care: You may apply a thin coat of natural furniture wax every 12 months to maintain its deep luster.
