Calm, Contrast and Carved Detail

This two-tone wooden Buddha bust shows the Buddha’s head and shoulders, carved by hand in Sri Lanka. Its finish uses contrasting tones to bring the carving to life: a light, natural-wood face, dark brown curled hair and a warm golden-brown robe that drapes across the shoulders in deep, flowing folds.

The softly closed eyes, gentle smile, elongated earlobes and carved urna between the brows follow the traditional features of Sri Lankan Buddha sculpture, while the clean, natural palette suits modern Australian homes beautifully.

A Symbol of Peace and Awareness

The Buddha’s serene expression is a timeless symbol of calm, wisdom and mindful living. Placed on a desk or shelf, this bust becomes a quiet focal point — a daily reminder to pause, breathe and be present.

As a mark of respect, display the statue at or above eye level on a shelf, desk, table or altar, rather than on the floor or in a bathroom.

Hand-Carved and Hand-Finished in Sri Lanka

Each bust is carved by hand by skilled Sri Lankan wood carvers using traditional tools and techniques. The face is left in a light natural tone to highlight the fine carving, while the hair and robe are stained by hand to create depth and contrast.

Because every piece is individually carved and finished, the grain, colour balance and carved detail vary slightly — no two statues are exactly alike.
